DHM Membership

• Membership is open to individuals who are interested and actively engaged in the field of digital health and who are willing to abide by the constitution of the Association;
• Applicants must be of at least 18 years of age and be in good standing;
• and shall be entitled to all the privileges of full membership inter alia to vote and be elected as office bearer.

• Any person who had been admitted as an Ordinary Member for three (3) consecutive years shall be eligible to apply to the Council for Life membership.
• In recognition of the founding members who had rendered notable service to the formation of the Telemedicine Development Group previously and the establishment of the current Association, they will be admitted as Life Member on payment of membership fee of RM200 on the first year.
• Life members shall enjoy full privileges and voting rights of an Ordinary Member

• Student Members must be students of universities or colleges of at least 18 years of age.
• Student Membership shall be open to students interested in digital health provided that a university or university-college student obtains the prior approval of the Vice-Chancellor concerned.
• Student Members shall be entitled to be present at meetings of the Association, to present papers and to join in discussions at such meetings. They are not entitled to make nominations, to hold office and to vote. Student Members may apply for other membership after graduation.

• Corporate membership is open to any organisation that is involved in digital technology in healthcare, digital health products and related activities and is interested in the objectives and goals of the Association. Corporate Members are entitled to nominate two representatives to The Association.
• Corporate membership shall be open only to entities of the following types:
  1. A company, firm or organisation established or incorporated under the laws of Malaysia;
  2. A foreign company or firm registered in Malaysia under the Companies Act, either in its country of incorporation or in Malaysia.
• Corporate membership is divided into two (2) categories:
  • a. Full Corporate Member/Tier 1
    • Full Corporate Membership allows for nomination of up to two (2) individuals who are employees of the same organisation, to be a member of the Association, and to represent the organisation in the activities of the association. On a first come, first served basis, this membership is limited to fifty (50) organisations only
    • Full Corporate Members will have the full privileges and rights to vote and stand for election. In the event, an elected office bearer resigns from his/her sponsoring organisation, he/she can opt to apply to be an Ordinary Member. Upon approval to accept the application, the remaining Council members shall decide on his/her elected post.
  • b. Associate Corporate Member/Tier 2
    1. Associate Corporate membership allows for nomination of up to two (2) individuals who are employees of the same organisation, to be a member of the Association, and to represent the organisation in the activities of the association. There is no limit to the number of organisations participating in this category of membership.
    2. Associate Corporate members shall enjoy the privileges of a member but shall not be eligible to vote or stand for election for any position at any general meeting.
