It is my pleasure to welcome you to our DHM Conference after a two years hiatus. Although the COIVD-19 disruption is undeniable, it has also significantly accelerated digital adoption amongst the providers and users. During this period, the Telemedicine Development Group (TDG) we formed together in 2015 has evolved into Digital Health Malaysia, a not for profit industry lead organisation.
Codename DHM! The organisation’s aims remain the same. We seek to establish an open ecosystem where all the stakeholders can converge to accelerate the healthcare in Malaysia into the digital era, utilising the transformative potential of technology. It is obvious that our use of Digital Health is still sub-optimal, and we are still facing the perennial challenges of healthcare affordability, availability and accessibility. This conference will discuss and showcase various advancements and solutions to address these challenges.
We are extremely fortunate that our honourable Minister and Director General of Health have agreed to grace our conference and share with the participants their roadmap for digital health in Malaysia. We have also invited top thought leaders in the various spheres of Digital Health from policy and regulation, workforce upskilling, research and development to “go to market” to share their thought, experience and vision for the future.
The theme for this year is “Moving Forward with Digital”. We seek to continue where we left off two years ago, to propel healthcare into a quality digital healthcare in the future that is patient centric, precise, predictive and preventable. Most of all, healthcare that is equitable. We welcome you to join us in this movement we hope to create and the momentum we hope to generate.
