Dr Wei went from a top medical student, graduating with MBBS (Hons) from Monash University
in 1995, to become a medical inventor pioneering disruptive and transformative platforms
around the world.
More than 20 years ago, Dr Wei invented the first wireless contraception in Tokyo, Japan, to
help women activate self-care and self-empowerment. In 2002, Dr Wei was invited by the Dutch
Health Promotion Board to develop a big data solution that will help the government correlate
increasing teenage abortion trend with the country’s first introduction of digital youth education.
Dr Wei has since received many international features for his work and became the youngest
nominee for CNN’s People’s Choice award in 2003. Dr Wei also became the only doctor
endorsed by the Singapore government as ‘Dr Love’ to increase the birth rate in Singapore and
hosted the country’s highest-rated TV show supported by Singapore’s Health Promotion Board.
Over 14 years ago, Dr Wei founded Borderless Healthcare Group which started an investment
in consumer-centric healthcare companies and has now become a global leader in the
healthcare technology, media, telecommunication, service and content (TMTSC) space. Dr Wei
continues to develop his vision from the digital and media space to now ‘connected’ online-to-
offline health and wellness services via cloud computing with projects including technology-
enabled wellness resorts, health and wellness metaverse and many other initiatives which are
featured in numerous global international media.
Dr Wei is also recognized as a highly-regarded keynote speaker in major international
conferences globally such as Slush, BIOMED Israel, World Medical Tourism, etc and is also one
of the most sought-after key opinion leaders in disruptive healthcare consumerism by global
organizations and institutions such as United Nations, World Health Organization, Stanford
University, Oxford University, Renmin University, etc.
