Roope Sihvolas' passion is medical technology, especially the implementation of new
technology into healthcare systems. Having trained as an ophthalmologist, Roope has 20
years’ experience of clinical work and processes. Besides his clinical work, Roope was
the chief medical officer of Finland's leading chain of private eye-hospitals, helping to
build it to become the country's largest. He has taken part in several development
projects, IT projects and strategic healthcare business planning. In the last few years his
main focus has been on the med-tech startup sector: Roope is building the strategic
backbone of the company, being responsible for its funding and focusing on bringing its
product to market.
