Dr Hoh graduated with Bachelor of Medicine (BM) from Southampton Medical School, UK and specialised as
ophthalmologist (eye surgeon) at Bristol Eye Hospital before taking up a post as Associate Professor in
Ophthalmology at University Malaya in 1997. While in service, he realised that healthcare is in silos with little
interaction between care givers. In 2017, he co-founded TELEME Technologies, a healthcare platform
designed to connect patients to their healthcare practitioners looking after them, on a single platform
accessible on both web and mobile app so that patients get the continuity of care they need. TELEME has
since been adopted by most pharmacy chains in Malaysia to provide doctor tele-consultation, seamless e-
prescription for refill medication and health monitoring for NCD (non-communicable diseases such as
