Jay Evans Interactive Health Ltd United Kingdom

Jay has worked in global health for more than a decade in over a dozen countries with organizations such as the International Union against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease and the American Cancer Society among others. He is currently a Teaching Fellow at the University of Edinburgh and an Associate Researcher at the University of Copenhagen. As part of his global work , Jay and his team deployed community-based mHealth programs at scale together with governments across South Asia including one of the largest community funded child and maternal eHealth programs in the world, a system today that supports over 10,000 community health volunteers across hundreds of communities. Other notable work included deployment and scale of the first mobile reporting of vaccine preventable diseases together with WHO in Nepal as well as one of the first mHealth systems to support cervical cancer screening. Following the 2015 Nepal earthquake his team deployed the first rapid response mHealth system to monitor disease outbreaks in country. In addition to the ground implementation of digital health tools, Jay was part advisory board to national governments including the National eHealth Strategy in Nepal.
